Airtime Rates - Within Egypt
All incoming calls received on
this Egyptian
SIM card are free. The Mobinil country specific SIM
card is your best choice for keeping in touch while traveling in
Egypt. All outbound calls within Egypt are only US$0.09 per
minute).
International
Rates:
You can call anywhere in the
world with your Mobinil Egyptian SIM card at one fixed
rate. From 8 AM to 8 PM Monday-Thursday is $0.35 per
minute. 8 PM to 8 AM and all day Friday and Saturday costs
$0.25.
Service life
and Reloads:
- The SIM card NEVER expire as
long as it is reloaded within 30 days of the last reload.
- 15 minutes of talk-time is
included.
- For additional usage, you may
request reloads from us or purchase reloads locally while in
Egypt.
- Service Period
is 30 days from the last reload. You can both call and
receive during this period of time. If you reload
within those 30 days, your balance will carry over
and you will not lose any unused balance.
- Grace period is
5 days past the 30 day service period. You can only
receive calls or reload during the grace period.
Reloading during the grace period will keep the card active but
previously unused credit will be lost. The card
will expire if you do not reload within either period above.

Activation
Instructions
Your Egypt cell phone number is
printed on the reverse side of the SIM card packaging and begins
with 012. The cellular phone number can also be found inside the
packaging. To start using your service simply following the
instructions outlined below:
- Insert the SIM card into the
mobile phone.
- Turn on your phone.
- Load the included ALO Scratch
Card and call 444 to recharge your account.
- Start calling.
Customer services for you prepaid
SIM card is available 24 hr./day by dialing 110 at any time from
your Egypt cellular phone.
When calling overseas from the
United States to your Egypt cellular phone number, callers
will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 20 and then
your Egypt cell phone number, omitting the first 0 (zero). To
call abroad from your Egypt cell phone simply dial 00
followed by the country code and phone number.
Adding Credit
Your Egyptian
SIM card will include an initial airtime credit to start you
off. To purchase
additional airtime for your Egypt SIM card, you will need to
purchase reload or recharge cards (also known as ALO Scratch
Card). ALO Scratch Cards may be purchased in 10, 25, 50, 100,
200 and 300 L.E. denominations at most convenience stores, tabac
shops and petrol stations throughout Egypt.
After purchasing your ALO Scratch
Card, simply:
- Rub off the protective layer
(with the side of a coin).
- A 13-digit number will be
revealed.
- Dial 444 from your Egypt cell
phone.
- When prompted enter the 13
digit code and press #
You may check your credit balance
at any time by dialing 445 and press send/ok which will display
the balance on the LCD of your Egypt cellular phone. There is a
charge of US$0.09 a call for this service.
